Pi Mu Phi Business Sorority serves business owners; local, national and international and our global community in many different ways. We promote, educate, elevate, and empower all women to be a voice in their respective communities and businesses while simultaneously conceptualizing and executing the vision and mission of the Sorority.
Tangi Smith
Founder Aka Empress Commissioner No Chill
The Honorable Tangi C. Smith. Sergeant First Class (ret)Smith served 21 years in the United States Army and is currently on her second 4 year term serving as Montgomery County Commissioner, District 8.
She was a finalist for Ms. Veteran America in 2021. She currently holds the title of Mrs. Tennessee Tourism 2022.
Ms. Smith is the founder of two nonprofits; Pi Mu Phi Military Sorority & Women Elevated, Inc (There is no i in W.E. outreach program).
She was nominated for the 2023 International Women’s Achievement Award (IWAA) Philanthropist of the Year. She holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Business and Psychology and a Masters in Organizational Leadership and Management.
Her experience in both leadership and pageantry as well as her involvement in the community validates her as an invaluable asset to this elite organization of premier and prestigious women.

DeShanda Carter
Harlem born, Bronx native who currently resides in Orange County NY. She is a retired Captain with the New York City department of Correction. She's a mother of two kings and a grandmother of one princess. DeShanda is a licensed life insurance agent and currently owns and operates Simply Carter Corp, which is the parent company to Carters Diva Glam Mobile Party, Simply Carter Events, and Carter's Caring hands Inc.

In addition, she is a noted author, radio show host on totalentradio.com and has a YouTube show called When the Blue Comes off. DeShanda is also a noted actress and member of the screen actors guild/Aftra and Forbesblk community.

Mississippi native residing in Tennessee. COO of Around the House SP where there is something for everyone, including children. I retired as the assistant to the district attorney. I enjoy playing and watching sports. My passion is helping others. My favorite quote is by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, “One must be simultaneously tendered hearted and tough minded.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I retired from the New York City Department of Corrections in 2021 as a Correction Officer. I completed 21 years of service. I am the business owner of Diamond & Roses of Brooklyn, LLC. This business is named after my daughter and my mom. I have many talents I can pretty much do it all, you name it I can create it. Except blow up balloons.

On October 28, 2023 I became a Goddess of Pi Mu Phi BusinessProfessional Sorority Inc, Alpha. My goddess name is
Creativity ProDEUCEd. This experience was unexplainable,
words can’t describe my feelings. I have gained a sisterhood.
The words I try to live by is “to be better than yesterday”, “you
got this” and “ relaxed GOD is going to work this out”.
